So being the former HAGeek (Home Automation Geek) and now Microsoft employee I had to get a Zune. A brown one if you must know called appropiately Brownie (Yeah I know corny). So how is the Zune?
I love it because for starters it has an FM radio and I can now listen to NPR at work. I hate it because there is no HD Radio or the ability to automatically record the stations so I could pause and resume the stations.
I love the video and with travelling almost 20 hours a week. I can catch up with videos from my PVR. No I hate my Zune I can't get to that content at all.
I love my Zune and being able to Zune music to other Zune weilding friends. I hate my Zune because the music can not be viral, i.e. I send a cool new song to my friends who sent it to their friends and suddenly that unknown artist's CD I bought has become a major new Artist all because of the Zune.
I love my Zune's easy to use software. I hate my Zune because I can't use Explorer to move files to it or use Windows Media Player. I have to go all Zune.
It looks like Microsoft has a winner with the Zune. You can clearly see the potential of the Zune and already lamenting about why it doesn't do X. People are quick to see new applications of the Zune and new possibilities of digital content.
