NETFX Setup & Deployment

I was going to talk about setup for .NET 3.5 SP1 however Scott Hanselman beat me to it with a very good article. He talks about why the actual size is large i.e. the redistributable contains all platforms and architectures. In addition he has setup a website and Javascript tag to allow you to calculate it for yourself and your users.

LiveScribe Pen Development

My wife saw the other day a very cool gadget, Pulse smart pen, made by LiveScribe. The pen uses special paper (although they are trying to give users the ability to print the paper) to capture what is written. In addition the pen has a mic to capture the audio associated with the notes being written.

VS 2008 SP1 and .NET 3.5 SP1

Today the Server and Tools division at Microsoft where I work now released Visual Studio 2008 SP1 and the .NET Framework 3.5 SP1. This is actually a big release and contains a lot of bug fixes and goodies for developers.
