Merge Replication - New Record and Book

Rob Tiffany continues to push the boundaries of merge replication using his rack of servers. The new record is 15 million rows and hour with 1200 concurrent users. In addition, he has released a new book on Merge Replication.

The new setup uses two SQL servers, a publisher and a subscriber server. The test uses 6 IIS servers capable of handling 200 clients per server. Interestingly he decreased the worker thread pool from 20 to 3 and got more throughput. You can read more about his adventures at his blog.
